Cassidian Communications to Attend 2013 CALNENA 911 Mission Critical Training Event

Cassidian Communications, an EADS North America company, will participate in the 2013 CALNENA Mission Critical Training event, taking place January 23-24 in San Diego, CA. Cassidian Communications will provide hands-on demonstrations of the new VESTA® 4.0 and Sentinel® 4.0 NG9-1-1 communications systems. Registered attendees will be among the first to share in the company’s long-term vision for integrated, geospatial multimedia public safety communications.

“What better place than our own backyard of San Diego to share with you our vision for the future and learn more about what it means to your public safety operation and ultimately, the people you serve.”

“Being a corporate resident of California and a leader in public safety communications for well over 40 years, the CALNENA event is important to our team,” said Bob Freinberg, CEO of Cassidian Communications. “With nearby San Diego as the venue, we have a special opportunity to spend time with many in-state customers, potential customers and technology partners. CALNENA is the perfect forum for us to demonstrate exactly how and why CRITICAL MATTERS™, as conveyed in our new branding, plus showcase our all-new VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 call processing systems for the first time in 2013.”

Visitors to Cassidian Communications’ booth #205 will see the highly configurable and vastly intuitive user interfaces (UIs) of these critical systems, considered to be a primary building block within the company’s next generation public safety communications platform. This platform is a foundational component of Cassidian Communications’ next generation public safety communications ecosystem, which encompasses 9-1-1 call routing and call processing, mapping, MIS and analytics, emergency notification, P25 land mobile radio and LTE, and managed services, including real-time monitoring and response and disaster recovery.

“The VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 NG9-1-1 systems enable public safety answering points (PSAPs) to take a crucial first step on the path toward integrated, geospatial multimedia communications,” said Jeff Wittek, Cassidian Communications’ Chief Strategic Officer. “They also provide our customers invaluable investment protection during this time of rapid technological change.”

In addition to the VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 systems, Cassidian Communications plans to demonstrate its Aurora® management information system (MIS) solution, the ORION™ Vela® geospatial application and The Communicator!® NXT™ and GeoCast® Web™ emergency notification products. Representatives will also be on hand to discuss the company’s CORP25 land mobile radio solution, most recently adopted by the city of Montréal, Canada, as well as its long term evolution (LTE) devices and applications.

Registered attendees are encouraged to take part in the four workshop sessions Cassidian Communications will sponsor. These are entitled: The Next Generation Public Safety Communications Ecosystem; NG9-1-1 GIS from the Ground Up; Advanced Hosted PSAP Solutions and The Next Generation PSAP.

The 2013 CALNENA 9-1-1 Mission Critical Training Conference will take place at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. All registered attendees are eligible to win “My Work Number is 9-1-1” blankets and noise cancelling headphones provided by Cassidian Communications during the vendor hall raffle. “On behalf of everyone at Cassidian Communications, we look forward to seeing many of you, our valued customers, during next week’s CALNENA event,” said Freinberg. “What better place than our own backyard of San Diego to share with you our vision for the future and learn more about what it means to your public safety operation and ultimately, the people you serve.”
