Fire Engineering’s 2002 Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) will be dedicated to the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) and to the memory of the firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The first Fire Engineering Courage and Valor Award will be presented on Saturday, April 13. The conference will include two days of Hands-On Training (H.O.T.) Workshops and three days of Classroom Sessions featuring noted fire instructors. Three days of General Sessions address current fire service topics and Big Room Sessions extend the Classroom Sessions to a larger venue.
