August 11-12—The NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF BUILDING SCIENCES FIRE HAZARDS CONFERENCE II will be held at the Chicago Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago, Ill. The conference, cosponsored by the National Fire Protection Association and the Council of American Building Officials, will bring together researchers in the fire hazards field and users of the research. The program will explore the needs of code and fire officials, design professionals, builders and owners, products and furnishings manufacturers, and consumers; progress on developing the performance test method; and the status of work on fire hazards modeling at the Center for Fire Research of the National Bureau of Standards.
