National Fire Academy Scholarship Program for NFA Alumni Association

The National Fire Academy Alumni Association in partnership with Delmar Publishing is proud to announce that its Scholarship Program is running for the second year. The program is open to those volunteers in need of a meal ticket to attend either a VIP or a two-week residential course. Application materials are available at www.nfaalumni.org, or click here for a downloadable, printable application.

To apply for this academy school year (Oct 02-Sept 03) for either semester, fill out the application and mail it to the NFAAA Administrator before September 30, 2002. The address is; Chief Ron Kanterman, P.O. Box 2000 (RY19-11), Rahway N.J. 07065. (Email: ronald_kanterman@merck.com.) Winners will be announced at FDIC in April at the Annual Meeting of the NFAAA, notified by mail or email, and will be published NFAALUMNI.ORG. You need not be present at the FDIC to be awarded a scholarship.

Criteria: The member of your department must be a first time attendee at the NFA and must demonstrate a need for the scholarship. Each region (10) has money allotted for: Two VIP scholarships of $100.00 each or; One 2 week residential scholarship of $200.00. This money will cover the cost of meals for the time period spent at the NFA. Much like the travel stipend, successful completion of the course is required. NFAAA will disburse the funds after the class is completed.

This scholarship program comes to the Amercian Fire Service from the NFA Alumni Association and Delmar Publishing. We gratefully acknowledge Delmar Publishing for their continued support of our organization and the American Fire Service.
