Emergency One helped design two new DECONTAMINATION/BOMB DISPOSAL VEHICLES for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The units include specifically configured exterior compartments with rollup doors, adjustable shelves, and pullout trays. A 14-foot E-One extruded aluminum body combines exterior storage compartments with interior working space. Driver’s side compartments include a tank of decontamination solution, a pump, and an extendable decontamination showerhead for incidents involving chemical/biological agents; personal protective gear; SCBA; and other specialized sensors and equipment. Forward passenger’s side compartment is six feet deep and equipped with two 500-pound-capacity pullout trays for the heavy padded bomb suits; other compartments store rope, rigging, X-ray equipment, hand tools, and other small gear.
