The Belle, West Va., Fire Department recently accepted delivery of a pumper from Allegheny Fire Equipment. Built on a Ford C-800 chassis, the unit is equipped with a 1000-gpm Darley-Champion 2-stage pump, 750-gallon water tank, top-mounted controls, full-height storage compartments on the left side and ladders mounted on right.

FMC Corporation, Fire Apparatus Operation, provided the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a 1000-gpm, Class A pumper during the time trials and on race day, May 26. The unit, which was manned by members of the Speedway Fire Department, was stationed in the grandstand area across from the finish line.

The unit features a five-man cab, Detroit Diesel 6V-71 engine, Allison MT-644 transmission, Rockwell front and rear axles. Hale 1250-gpm single-stage pump, 500-gallon water tank, 5-inch front and rear intakes, 1 ½-inch cross lays, 110-volt electrical system, rear mounted booster reel and portable deluge set.

The Othello, Wash., Fire Department recently received this 1000-gpm Darley pumper. It has a Darley S1000 two-stage midship pump, high side compartmentation, booster reels, rear side compartments and crosslays for preconnected lines. For drafting, the unit is also equipped with 2½-inch front intakes.

The Seabrook, N.H., Fire Department recently purchased this Emergency One Protector IV. The unit, which is mounted on a Hendrickson chassis, features an all-aluminum modular body. Standard equipment includes a 500-gallon water tank, a stainless steel pump panel with liquid filled gages, 1250-gpm single-stage pump, Hannay booster reel, and a canopy extension behind the cab to seat two additional men.

The Sherrodsville, Ohio, Volunteer Fire Department recently received this Pierce 750 Econo-Suburban pumper. Mounted on an IHC chassis, the unit is powered by a 537 V8 gasoline engine with Spicer 50520 transmission. A 750-gallon T-shaped water tank is equipped with a Waterous CSYB-750 single-stage pump. Electrical equipment includes a beacon mounted on the cab roof, two air horns, two Whelen model 2700 rear warning lights, two rear deck lights, combination stop, tail and directional lights and two cab spotlights.
