Battalion Chief Dennis Lawson has retired from Ocala Fire Rescue after serving our citizens and the city of Ocala for 23 years.
“I am proud to have served the last 6 years of my career as fire marshal, and will miss my brothers and sisters in the fire service,” he stated during a ceremony. Previous to Chief Lawson’s appointment as the fire marshal, he served in the capacity of firefighter, emergency medical technician, driver/engineer, captain and fire inspector.
