FL Firefighter, Instructor Injured During Training

Lt. Kevin McCrea, a training center instructor and 11-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Fire Department, was burned while setting up a training demonstration on Friday morning, according to a report from the Miami Herald.

The 38-year-old McCrea was taken to Ryder Trauma Center by air rescue after the live-fire demonstration flashed and burned his body.

The report indicates that officials do not know the cause of the incident but will conduct their own investigation with assistance from an outside agency.

The report stated that McCrea is experiencing a lot of pain but is recovering and in good spirits.
