CCFS Welcomes Newest Board Member Kevin McSweeney

This month the Center for Campus Fire Safety (CCFS) is pleased to welcome Kevin McSweeney to the CCFS Board of Directors. Kevin has been appointed to serve the remainder of Janet Maupin’s directors term. Janet is now serving as CCFS Treasurer through 2013.

In March 2006, Kevin was hired as UD Fire Protection Engineer/Fire Marshal where the primary fire protection program focus is with the Three E’s: Engineering, Education and Enforcement. Mr. McSweeney is NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist and Certified Fire Inspector II and has been active with CCFS since 2007.

Kevin has a 20-career in USAF Fire Protection. He has held the positions of Acting Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief Operations, Assistant Chief Technical Services, and Assistant Chief Training and Hazmat/Safety Officer. Kevin has spent nearly 10-years with Delaware Office of State Fire Marshal where he served as Senior Fire Protection Specialist and Fire Protection Contractor Licensing Manager. He can be reached at KMcSweeney@campusfiresafety.org
