Impostor Firefighter Shows Up at Pennsylvania Fire Scene

A former Mt. Oliver (PA) firefighter who was convicted of arson in 2003 showed up at a large fire Saturday, spurring the volunteer fire company to hold an emergency meeting Tuesday night, according to a news report.

WTAE reports (http://bit.ly/1pOXaeS) that Francis Kestner, 30, allegedly showed up wearing full firefighting gear when a house on Margaret Street in Mt. Oliver caught fire. Officials are investigating whether he stole it from the fire station.

Kester was a firefighter with the borough until he was arrested for arson. Investigators said he and another firefighter set fire to five homes before they were caught. Kestner later pleaded guilty, according to the report.
