Psomas Taps Scott Doan for New Emergency Response GIS Venture

Psomas has brought Scott Doan on board as the Public Safety Specialist for SitStat, the new GIS venture of Psomas’ Spatial Technology Solutions Division.

SitStat is an emergency incident GIS viewer designed to meet the needs of fire, police and EMS agencies nationwide. The cloud based-solution presents full situational awareness, providing phone, tablet, and desktop access to real time incidents, units, hazards, alerts and more.

A 30-year fire service veteran, Doan will be responsible for SitStat business development, project management and product design.

Doan’s experience in public safety spans nearly every aspect of the fire industry, from firefighter, captain, and assistant chief to division chief responsible for information technology. As a division chief responsible for IT for a large metropolitan Fire Department, he managed several high-profile integration and consolidation projects.

His expertise also includes dispatch center operations, CAD integration, EOC management, incident response, HAZMAT, mobile IT solutions, disaster preparedness, financial management and grant application and management.
