Municipal Emergency Services and TECGEN Brand Introduce Newest in Dual-Certified PPE

INVISTA’s TECGEN® brand has teamed up with Municipal Emergency Services (MES) to introduce its newest in dual-certified PPE, TECGEN® Rescue80. TECGEN® Rescue80garments are available exclusively through Municipal Emergency Services.

TECGEN® gear is dual certified for NFPA 1951 Technical Rescue and NFPA 1977 Wildland. Available in black or tan, TECGEN® Rescue80™ garments contain new features to promote visibility and functionality by utilizing three-inch Reflexite® reflective trim and multiple advanced pockets designed to carry everything from smart phones to radios to extrication tools.

“At MES, our mission is to provide first responders with the equipment and gear they need to respond to all types of emergencies,” says John Skaryak, vice president at Municipal Emergency Services. “The new MES exclusive TECGEN® Rescue80 product gives firefighters an alternative to wearing bunker gear on every call. Because the gear is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, it is ideal for wildland, extrication, MVAs, traffic control and incident command. We believe the exclusive features will help to further enhance functionality and responsiveness.”

“MES has carried our products for some time so we were excited when the company approached us about a collaborative effort to design a new, highly functional, multi-use garment,” said Todd Herring, director of TECGEN® protective apparel. “Eighty percent of calls firefighters respond to are not structure fires. TECGEN® Rescue80 garments are designed for the types of calls firefighters respond to the most. We are looking forward to teaming up with MES to expand our product line and continuing to bring cutting-edge innovation to the firefighter community.”

TECGEN® Rescue80 garments are now available across the USA through the Municipal Emergency Services sales force network. To learn more, please download the TECGEN® Rescue80 PPE spec sheet or contact your local MES representative.
