NH Firefighter Dies After Shift

A veteran Bedford (NH) firefighter died on Thursday about 12 hours after leaving work.

The local Patch affiliate reports (http://bit.ly/136D3zd) that 56-year-old Lieutenant James Clark was found dead in his home around 7 p.m.

Clark was a 26-year-old veteran of the department. Chief Bedford Fire Chief Scott Wiggin characterized him as a “health addict” and said he was probably one of the fittest members of the department. Wiggin said his passing is being treated as an “untimely death.”

Clark leaves behind two daughters and is survived by a brother, sister, and mother.
