BILL RANDLEMAN, editor of Fire Chief magazine for 23 years, died August 7 at the age of 68. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy, and his daughters Usa and Nancy.

Randleman was chairman of the Congressional Fire Service Institute’s Advisory Board; a member of the National Fire Protection Association, the International Society of Fire Service Instructors, the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, and the New York State Fire Chiefs Association; and an honorary lifetime member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs He was speaker at many fire service meetings and conferences and was a member of the ad hoc committee of fire service leaders chosen for the Wingspread Conference in 1987.
