APPARATUS DELIVERIES
The South Queensbury, NY, Volunteer Fire Company has received this pumper by Quality Manufacturing Inc. It has a 1985 Mack CF chassis, a 350-hp engine, and Allison HT-740 automatic transmission.
It also has a 1,750-gpm Waterous pump, a 1,250-gallon fiberglass tank, a top pump console, two speedlays, and three crosslays.

The Boston, MA, Fire Department has taken delivery of this new tower unit. It is a 1985 Emergency One, Hurricane model with a 95-foot platform, a QSMF 1,000-1,500 Hale pump with 1,500-gpm U.L. certification and a 200-gallon aluminum water tank. Power is an 8V92 Detroit diesel engine with an Allison HT-740 automatic transmission.

The Harrods Creek, KY, Fire Department has received this 1985 Grumman unit built on a Hendrickson chassis. It has a 1,250-gpm pump and carries 500 gallons of water with a 50-foot Tetesquirt ladder. It is powered by a Detroit diesel V6 turbo charged engine and has Allison automatic transmission.

The Piqua, OH, Fire Department recently took delivery of two Custom Ward ’79 1,500-gpm single-stage pumpers. The “Fire Max” body and equipment was manufactured on a Spartan Gladiator CFG 2,000 series six-man chassis with a 170-inch wheelbase, Cummins LTA 10-320-hp diesel engine, and Allison transmission.
The Ward “Fire Max” body features aluminum construction, a 750-gallon stainless steel tank, and an all-electronic control pump panel with push-button electric discharge valves. Other features include high-side compartment LH, wheel house broom compartments RH side, and four mattydale crosslays with a capacity of 200 feet of 1 3/4-inch hose in each bed.
