Massachusetts First Responders Injured in Suspected Chemical Suicide

Several first responders were hospitalized after a possible chemical suicide incident in Lowell, Massachusetts.

WCVB reported that crews responded after being alerted by friends of a 31-year-old man that he had written disconcerting comments on Facebook.

The report said investigators said they believed he mixed household cleaners to make hydrogen sulfide gas.

Four police officers, a paramedic, and two EMTs were exposed to chemical gases, the report said. Four residents were also hospitalized.
