Firefighters Deal with Raging Brunswick (NY) House Fire

Sidewinder Photography shared some recent photos from a recent raging fire in the town of Brunswick, New York, in Rennselaer County.

The Center Brunswick Fire Department was toned for a reported structure fire, reported as a kitchen fire. On arrival, engine 7–7 called for a signal 30 and had a well-involved house fire.

While Center Brunswick chief was en route to the scene, he called for the second alarm and to have all company standby in quarters until he arrived on scene. When the chief arrived, he immediately call for all companies on the second alarm to the scene.

The second alarm assignment brought Brunswick 1, Mountain View, Eagle Mills, and Speigletown to the scene and placed Raymertown on standby in quarters.

Facing heavy fire throughout the structure, firefighters pulled multiple handlines from 7–7, including a 2 1/2-inch line. The fire could be seen up to a quarter-mile away coming up Hoosick street. Firefighters only conducted an exterior attack until the fire could be knocked down from the outside of the home.

After firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within exterior attack, they made entry into the home, knocking down all of the remaining fire. Crews on scene conducted heavy overhaul for most of the evening until the early hours of the morning.

Fire investigators are currently looking into the cause of the fire at this time. No firefighters were injured on scene and the home was a total loss.
