Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters battled a spectacular three-alarm fire in a Queens warehouse early Monday morning, January 21.

The blaze broke out at the commercial building at 128-20 14th Avenue in College Point around 7:45 a.m. and brought more than 125 FDNY firefighters to the scene.

Frigid temperatures and howling winds hampered fire operations.

One occupant of the building was removed by firefighters and transported to an area hospital by EMS personnel.

The fire took nearly three hours to bring under control.
