A Complete Line of Fire Apparatus

Toyne began building fire apparatus in 1942 when founder Gilbert Toyne was asked to build a body for the local fire department. In 1978 Roger Schwabe, a long time Toyne employee, purchased the company from Gilbert Toyne, and the Schwabe family still runs the operation today. Mike Schwabe is the president and Bill Schwabe is the vice president with other family members forming the board of directors.

Toyne builds a complete line of fire apparatus and specializes in both extruded aluminum and bolted/brushed stainless steel bodies. The bolted/brushed stainless steel body has become the most popular body offering. It features a stainless steel sub frame, 304 stainless body module, and a stainless steel pump house. Even the pump discharge manifold is stainless on many units, the result of innovation and customer request. All of this leads to a corrosion resistant product that will provide years of trouble free service.

The manufacturing process has been upgraded with CNC machinery and improved production flow. Physical plant growth and a new corporate office have also aided in the ability of Toyne to serve its employees and customers alike.

Plans are on the drawing board for future growth as well as new products and product enhancement.
