Grinnell Fire Protection Systems Company Inc. President L. Dennis Ko/lowski has announced the relocation of its headquarters offices from Providence, Ri, to Exeter, NH. This move brings the offices closer to the corporate headquarters of Grinnell’s parent company, Tyco Laboratories Inc., also located in Exeter, NH.

The executive office move will affect approximately 50 Grinnell employees. The relocation is scheduled to be completed by September 1986, when construction of their new building in Exeter is finished.

Grinnell Fire Protection Systems Company Inc. manufactures and installs fire protection systems.

Edward H. Hansen, chairman of the board of Elkhart Brass Mfg. Co. Inc., died October 30, 1985. He was 83 years old. Mr. Hansen attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and began his career with Elkhart Brass in 1922. He was elected president of the company in 1943 and held that position until 1960 when he became chairman of the board of directors.

Elkhart Brass, a family-owned company in Elkhart, IN, was founded in 1902 by Albert E. Hansen, Edward Hansen’s father.

FMC Corporation’s Fire Apparatus Division has completed construction of a new manufacturing facility on a 20-acre site adjacent to its existing Tipton, IN, plant, which has also undergone major remodeling as part of a divisional expansion program.

The new 24,000-square-foot building will house the manufacture of aluminum bodies for Class A pumpers and aerials. The new facility gives FMC more than 1/4-million square feet of plant space in Tipton. Existing space in the original plant will be used primarily to build the company’s mild steel and stainless steel bodies.
