Indianapolis Firefighters Contain Working Fire at Double Residence

Indianapolis firefighters responded to this recent fire at a double residence, and Rita Reith provided some photos of operations at the scene.

Heavy black smoke could be seen for a mile, and arriving crews found heavy smoke showing from the rear of the two-story structure. Two occupants escaped without injury before the fire department arrived, and companies performed an aggressive interior attack and search, bringing the fire under control within 30 minutes.
