As a third-generation family business, founded in 1928, we understand that every day our customers put their lives on the line, and they rely on our products to help them do their jobs. That is why we spend so much time and energy ensuring that the products we make and install will work well, deliver as promised, and help you do your job better.

CAPABILITIES

Havis-Shields Equipment Corp. has grown to employ over 100 dedicated people working in our main Warminster, PA plant and our two regional facilities in Chino, CA, and Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Our sales team is made up of seven customers service representatives and four regional sales managers who work with a network of over 60 factory trained independent sales agents covering all of the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Havis-Shields has six full time engineers designing products in state-of-the-art 3D software. This capability allows our engineers to efficiently share product design files with OEM customers and also allows us to present 3D model drawings to our customers for feedback and approval. Our products are designed with the user’s safety as our first priority, and are tested to meet applicable industry standards such as UL, ANSI, NFPA, ASTM, and SAE.

Our manufacturing facilities include two new Amada laser and turret punch presses, three brakes, and six welding stations. These state-of-the-art machines produce parts to close tolerances, thus ensuring exact form and fit. Our automated 450’ conveyor powder-coat paint system applies a quality finish to our products. We use the latest cellular assembly and process control techniques to ensure quality throughout production.

Havis-Shields provides vehicle installation services for over 1,000 public safety vehicles per year in the Mid-Atlantic area. We have 20 service bays with secure parking for up to 250 vehicles. This aspect of our business gives us a unique understanding of the application in which our products are used and keeps us in constant contact with our customers and the challenges they face.

LEADERSHIP

Over the years, many products that were our innovations are now standard equipment on today’s fire apparatus. Havis introduced the first telescoping tripod light; the first low profile quartz floodlight and the first polished body mount castings for these lights. More recently, we offered the first 12VDC HID floodlights and the first “brow mount” castings for mounting floodlights above the vehicle windshield. Today, we are rolling out another new technology to the fire market: new high-efficiency Cold Cathode Fluorescent compartment lighting.

Our brand name product lines include: Kwik-Raze®, Collins Dynamics®, Alpha 2000®, Consolidator®, Questar®, Magnafire 3000®, and Kwik-Kit™ and the new Stout Mount Console. From large Federal and State agencies to small local departments, our focus is meeting needs of the first responders in the field.

Havis-Shields has become an industry leader by providing innovative designs that meet the needs of our customers. We are known both for our extensive product offering and our ability to customize and configure our products to meet your department’s needs. We are proud to help you do your job – more effectively, more comfortably, and more securely.

Havis-Shields has been supporting the mission of firefighters, police, and emergency professionals for decades and has earned a reputation for innovation, responsive customer service, and quality. Today, our company remains committed to serving the public safety professionals who serve our communities.
