Pennsylvania Fire Tears Through Numerous Homes

Dozens of people were displaced after a structure fire extended to numerous row homes and went to eight alarms Thursday in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.

WHTM reports (http://bit.ly/1eZKcFS) that hundreds of firefighters from miles around battled the flames in the borough of Juniata Terrace. The fire reportedly raced through least 25 homes, destroying six.

The attics of the homes were connected, allowing flames to spread from one to the next rapidly.

When firefighters arrived at 7 p.m. Thursday, four homes were on fire but the fire quickly spread. Crews dealt with water supply issues at the scene.

No civilians were injured, but two firefighters reportedly suffered unspecified injuries.
