Firefighter using decon wipes

A new video from Miami-Dade (FL) Fire Rescue reviews the proper use of decon wipes for firefighters. Firefighters are exposed to a variety of hazardous substances during the course of their duties, and one way of minimizing the effect of these exposures is through the use of these wipes.

Removing fireground contaminates from the skin as quickly as possible after a fire has been determined to be critical to minimize absorption of these harmful substances. An effective method to remove these contaminates from the skin is by using decontamination wipes.
