This week’s C.O.R.E. skills drill includes some hands-on and scenario-based situations for you to work on. Remember that the C.O.R.E. series is provided for you to build your own quick-drill lesson plan and to always reference your local procedures and terminology when completing them.

Some highlights of edition #5 include driver/operators reviewing tip and flow characteristics of master streams. Consider all types of master streams available and in all types of possible use such as pre-piped, portable, and elevated.

The fitness exercise of the day is the simple and basic push-up. Any Google search or review of an exercise manual will show many variations of this core exercise. Review the proper methods for completing them and work within your personal exercise plan to complete a good round of three sets of push-ups! Remember to engage your core muscles when doing each one!
