A size-up technique tied to risk assessment involves the ability to identify the type of occupancy and then identifying the hazards associated with that occupancy. This can include fuel loads and types, construction types, and materials, fire travel paths and location, and condition of occupants. Consider these factors and identify at least three considerations that you would take into account when using occupancy type as a size-up factor. Use locally applied occupancy names and insert others that are unique to your area.
